We have set a new grocery/household weekly budget of $60 dollars inspired by the Grocery Cart Challenge, go check out her site. That includes all food, toiletries items, diapers, etc.
How I set my grocery plan is, I have a menu plan seen here, which I create from what I already have on hand and what is needed to the coming week. We love lots of fruits and veggies so these are a must for our household but luckily we have a winter garden that we get lots of veggies from.
This week I we had some extra money because of using all the garden veggies and having all the meat on hand, that I bought some extra meat that was on sale, like the turkey thighs and roast. Our HEB has some great deals on buying this and getting alot of items for free. Like this week buy Fajitas 7.56 get over 9.27 items for free. At Walgreens DT love Dr. Pepper, and we need some Downy so I worked the Robitussin deal to get free dr.pepper and downy.
Total spending for the week 51.01!
