Last Saturday started off as any normal day but now I am armed with a new camera, and couldn’t be happier than a kid in a candy store. Seriously I think I have a problem. I take picture after picture, who cares about laundry, or cooking. I just want to take pictures, of anything and everything. So want to take a little picture journey with me?
Lets start in my front yard, the plumbago’s are blooming
As well as my lovely Bougainvillea I’ve always loved this plant, she doesn’t bloom much but when she does I love the vibrant pinkish red color
Moving on to the garden, isn’t this Okra bloom beautiful?
And check out the watermelon’s its about the size of a baseball
Our Japanese eggplant is loaded full of eggplant! I have decided that I love the Japanese eggplant better than the black beauty eggplants. I think the flavor and texture is excellent, in comparison.
I walked around and thought that our big Yucca would make an awesome pictures so I played with the focus
trying to get the tip of the needle in focus
I just love how this picture turned out
While I am busy playing around with my camera DT is busy picking the garden (ps. the boys were asleep in case you were wondering)
I then made a quick trip to my parent’s house, and took a couple of shots of one of their big oak trees
and a stump they recently had cut down, hey where did that dog come from, ha ha!! Yes I am a dork!
I did finally do something productive and made an awesome bread recipe
DT snapped this photo after some serious coaching, picture taking is not his fortay, just be glad my head is in the shot.
and I made this lovely breakfast the next morning
Any guesses on what it is? Here’s a few clues: it’s named after tree climbing critter that loves bananas!!!
psst: you guys were right it’s Monkey Bread, and yes I will have to post the super simple recipe.
Please share your wordless Wednesday post!!! Or in my case not so wordless post!

Your yard is beautiful!
Those natural photos are beautiful. I always have trouble getting great shots of my garden scape.
Great pictures. I am the same way with the camera… it is so fun to just take pictures and see what you can come up with!
Beautiful! Haven’t seen Bougainvillea in a long time!
An awesome camera makes all the difference, doesn’t it?
I love bougainvilleas. My mom had one when I was growing up, but since we’re in PA, ours was always in the house.
I also like Japanese eggplant better, and I think okra flowers are just gorgeous. That’s something else I can’t grow here. My season isn’t long enough.
Your garden is colorful and lovely — and the breakfast looked divine. Enjoy that camera.
Those shots are gorgeous!! I especially like the ones where the center of it is in focus but the rest is blurry! You have a talent!!
Great photos, you have some lovely flowers in your backyard.
I love that shot of the oak from the bottom looking up. so cool!
Those are terrific!! Great job!
