Why, oh why, do you have to be so sweet?
Why couldn’t you be a flighty, scary, bite your hand. kind of little rooster?
It would make things so much easier. When its time to give you away.
Instead, your the sweetest, cuddly, little fall asleep in your lap, type of rooster and I am going to miss you so much.
*Don’t worry Ozzy will be going to live with my in laws once he starts crowing (hopefully not for a long time). He will have a great free ranging life style with plenty of girlfriends.

Oh my good heavens. Could anything be cuter than that? We had chickens when I was growing up. I always loved them.

One of my red girls kind of barked today. It was the one I most suspect (by which I mean maybe like 20% suspect) may be a rooster. I am hoping she was just trying (and failing) to chortle like the barred rock mama, but instead she sounded like a half crow.
This would make two I suspect are roosters. The other one I more like 80% suspect… all indicators (sans crowing, too young still) point to rooster. And it’s one of my SLWs.
This is why mine are not lap trained. 🙂 I envy you your lap bird though. I hope to someday find a silkie hen and that will be my lap chicken.
OMG! You should enter a photo contest. Those are the cutest baby pictures EVER! I feel so sad that you can’t keep a rooster. That is SO unfair. He’s so cute and he obviously loves and trusts you! I think it’s cruelty to animals to rip him from the only home he’s ever known. You should call the TV stations and the newspapers and the ASPCA!

That is crazy sweet!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve never ever seen a little rooster like that! Of course I’ve seen big ones, but OMG they are sooooo cute when they are little bitty!
