I may or may not have mentioned this before, but Thanksgiving is one of my absolutely favorite holidays. I mean there is plenty of delicious foods, family and no stress of gift giving. I also love a holiday designed around being thankful. I think we can all agree we each have so much to be thankful in our lives. Being surrounding by family and good food, not much is better.
At this point in my life I have never made the turkey or dressing, this has always been up to my Mom and Grandma, or my Dad who fried turkeys once, delish! I must admit I am a bit intimidated by the turkey, it’s just so big! I am sure one day the torch will be passed along to me, but for now I get to play around with fun appetizers, desserts and side dishes. These are a few of my favorite (and most requested) Thanksgiving foods.
I’m gonna give that Baked cabbage a whirl!!!!!!!!!! Mmmmmmmmmm everything looks grand!!!!!!!!! Don’t fear the bird… just get one with a timer in it. lol. They are easy. For God’s sake IF I CAN make it, you should have NO trouble! lol
My favorite Thanksgiving dish are my Pumpkin Pie Cocktails.
BTW, I have a slide show of my Iron Cupcakes on my side bar now. I just added it last week:-)
I forgot about your baked cabbage! I just got a humongous head of cabbage from Kroger and wondered what I could make with it! Thanks!
Baked corn! I will be posting a photo and recipe soon!
I am so very pregnant … but all of that looks awesome. YUM. And just thinking about fried turkey makes me drool.
I like candied sweet potatoes, really good mashed potatoes, and homemade cranberry sauce (this one, especially).
