Sometimes I think I must be the best mom in the world.  See its been raining everyday for the past week, not that I am complaining we need it desperately.  But the boys have been lacking in their outside time, so I figured they could play in the rain.  I knew they would make a mess, play in dirt puddles and have a grand ole time, I mean since they are boys and love to get dirty.

Right out the door face first in closest mud puddle, of course.  Should I really think any different.  Then I start questioning my judgment on the whole play in the rain situation, yes a little too late.  But they sure had fun!

There goes the boots covered in mud

Little W found the perfect mud hole

and decided he’d take the toys muddin’

the rain must have been loud

They were getting a little cold in the wet clothes

so goodbye, clothes!

and they had a blast throwing rocks, just hope my neighbors didn’t see them, ha ha!

So tell me do you let your kids play in the rain?

  1. HAH! Love the progression to the all natural look! We often put on our swimsuits and play in the rain – follow it up with nice warm bath and my daughter sleeps like a baby…me, too. Love the pictures.

  2. Yes! Play in the rain! Love the boots with no pants…then the no pants at all. I think you ARE the best mom in the world 🙂 They are only kids once…..

  3. Looks like they’re having so much fun! I think it’s awesome that you let them play in the rain. Have a good weekend… (I’m having a shopping gift card giveaway today, if you’re interested in stopping by)

  4. OMG. That is absolutely hysterical, them nudies in the rain. Too cute. I love it when moms let their kids play like that. Unfortunately, my little 6 yr old wouldn’t want to get all dirty. He takes after his dad. He’s not a typical little boy. Very cautious, never climbed on anything, never wanted to get all dirtied up. So I LOVE looking at pics like this.

  5. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! So cute, I really need to take the kids out in the rain – I think it’s great! Lots of clean up but who cares!!

  6. Kids just gravitate to mud. They can find it even if you don’t think it exists any where in your yard. But they do love it. And yes I do let my kids play in the mud every once in a while.

  7. That is just a wonderfully sweet thing to let them do. I would love to as well, but l our rain is only about 35-40* so it’s too cold. Glad you had a fun day.

  8. Oh, YOUR a GREAT mom!..and the pictures show it!..What fun..They are to Handsome!….Lucky you!…I love the very last one!..it’s almost like a mirror shot, cept you did not need the mirror!…: )

  9. Unfortunately I have no pictures of MDQ when he got to play out in the rain. He didn’t have as much fun as your boys. I will make sure I get some of Toxey though. Maybe a playdate? Do you have any doubts now that you should not have quit work?
