Yesterday I found the mint chocolate covered Oreos in our pantry leftover from Christmas and I decided it’s been long enough since I’ve had a sweet, let me give one a try, and much to my surprise it tasted………….. awesome, of course. But not much later in the day I got the worst headache I’ve had in years, coincidence? I might not ever know, but I can say this, that one oreo was all I ate. I felt satisfied and not hungry for more, where as before I might have eaten at least 5 or 6.
My main goal with this sugar and gluten free diet is to re-train my brain to eating occasional desserts and breads, to not crave them so much and to eat a healthy balance with healthy foods. I think it’s working, slowly. I still have my moments, but for now I am sticking with my diet and healthy eating.

Looks like a great week planned. You’re doing great on the food journey. The good thing is it doesn’t look like you’re being deprived because everything looks so good!
I will have to try your Sticky Chicken. I’ve got a whole mess of chicken drums and thighs in my freezer.
Did you know Homemade Gourmet has gluten free seasonings and mixes? I found that interesting.
Great looking plan:-)
Looks wonderful! I may need to make sticky chicken this week too. Love that stuff!
I had the beans pureed and ready to go when I realized I didn’t have enough nuts of any kind. So what did I do? I looked for a recipe for black bean brownies using 2 cups purees beans. I found a simple one on hotcouponworld.com mixing black beans with a boxed brownie mix. So that’s what I did. I turned out okay. I think yours looks better. This one required no butter, no oil, no eggs, no water, just puree the beans and add to the boxed mix. I still intend on making yours, I just need to get the nuts. My husband knows there is something funny going on with them brownies, he only ate one. LOL! I still haven’t told him. 🙂
