Meet the Newlyweds Luis and Natalia

Let’s Meet Luis and Natalia, they blog together at Mertinso.com.  Yes, both of them blog together; Is that not the neatest thing ever?  Oh, and I couldn’t be more jealous also, I got DT to blog once, it took him 2 hours to complete a simple survey, Oh Vey.  Any-who they blog about it all, from TV shows, to food, visitors, its so fun to read from both of their perspectives or when they collaborate on a post together.  Its simply a pleasure to read.

Name yours and your husband’s: Natalia & Luis

Wedding date: August 6, 2008 (We just had an amazing week-long anniversary celebration)

Blog (s): We used to have our own individual blogs, but now collaborate on http://mertinso.com. We use our cartoon faces (created by my talented husband) to indicate the author of each post. The faces sometimes change to reflect the holidays throughout the year. And on some posts, we banter back and forth, each telling our side of a story, like the time where we explained how we came up with the name Mertinso, or when we kicked off our Christmas celebration.

How did you meet? We met in church. He was the life of the party, I was the new girl, and I asked him out first!

When did you know he was the one? It was a gradual process, but eventually I just knew

What is one of your favorite things to do together? We love going out to eat and love our TV shows

What is something new you learned about your husband after you were married? He HATES being tickled… but I still love to tickle him 🙂

What do you do to stay connected during everyday stresses of life? We are always available either through text or I.M., rarely does anything happen to one of us without the other knowing instantly

What is your best piece of marriage advice? My husband always says that marriage is all about compromise for both parties

What is your favorite quirk about your husband? I love that he gets really excited about small things.

What is something special you do just for your husband? I don’t know if this qualifies as “special” but I love to cook good food for him. If the food isn’t up to par, I don’t let him eat it.

Tell us something about yourself. I love reading blogs. I literally have hundreds of them on my google reader. Although I don’t have kids, every time I see an idea I like (a cute craft, a fun children’s birthday party, sewing projects to try once I get my sewing skills up to par, etc.), I save the picture in an “ideas” file on my computer. I now have hundreds of pictures just waiting to be used as inspiration at some undetermined future time.
