No recipe this week, I left my heart and mind down at the bay. You heard right last weekend was our annual bay weekend. I literally look forward to it all year long. My parents have rented the same bay house for 5 summers, starting when the boys were just 6 months old.
The kids loved finding shells or sticks down at the sea shore.
I even took a mini maternity session with C and baby Claire.
*isn’t she beautiful!
Finding hermit crabs hiding was also a big event. Sam was a hermit crab professional.
Sticks and
and weird drift wood,
even some dancing!
Peasock my brother’s dog (no really that’s his name). He’s such a sweetie. Except the time he did actually pee on my sock!
Dancing and merriment were had by all. My parents being silly here.
More dancing and frying shrimp at the same time, now that is multitasking!
I even got my sweeties to take the infamous chair picture!! They have grown quite a bit!
2009– 18 months old and little W had broken his leg just days before.
DT’s mom was able to come stay the weekend with us, and I think she really enjoyed herself and we enjoyed having her too.
The family minus little W who was having a little meltdown as we were about to leave.
Isn’t that the sign of a good time, when you all cry before you have to leave?
I remember that broken leg! Goodness how time flies. So glad you have this tradition to mark the years.
