The garden is growing along wonderfully and this week we harvested some mustard spinach, spinach, and green shallots tops. I made a great dish and used all the garden veggies. The cabbage now have very distinct heads forming and the broccoli have about 1-2 inch sprouts, its so exciting!! The weather has had it’s up’s and downs and DT has water I think 1-2 times this week. The erratic weather is very typical for Southeast Texas.
Acorn Squash
Garlic
Shallots- I cut some of these about 2 inches from the ground
Broccoli- the heads are growing!
Butternut Squash
Mustard Spinanch- ready to eat, I also just cut these about 2-3 inches from the bottom.
Bib Lettuce- ready to eat!
Spinach
Cabbage- the heads are really forming.
Carrots
Fresh cut mustard spinach, spinach and green shallots- we had lots of fun eating these this week. Recipes to come!
(see the holes in the leaves, I think it give it character!)

Anyone else have a garden, tips or recipes they would love to share. I would love to see them or hear about them.
My gosh, that is soooo awesome! I think next year I will start a small garden. I say that every year but by the time I get ready, I fear it’s too late in the season and give up.
Oh, I left you an award at my place, if you are interested.
Looks wonderful. What I wouldn’t give to have weather like that right now. Right at this very moment it is 22 degrees where I live.
Ummmmmmmmm, and here I’m freezing. To have a garden spot like this year ’round would be awesome.
My show n tell this week is a holiday story…come by if you can find some time, won’t you? Happy weekend.
A very lovely garden! Seeing it is making me wish for warm weather-something I don’t think those of us here in the midwest are going to see for awhile.
Wow! That looks awesome. My measly radishes and chives garden pale in comparison. 🙂

My green thumb just turned all of me green with envy!! Great looking garden. I can’t wait for SPRING!!
GAH – right when there is not a living green thing to eat here haha, well, you’ve inspired me to start another batch of alfalfa sprouts inside.
Thx for sharing
Your garden looks absolutely beautiful! We had a bad time of it with worms on the cabbage in the beginning. I had to go every morning for over a week and pick them off. But I think that’s over with now. It’s so great to be able to eat from the garden!

It did my heart good to see that garden! I love to garden, but it is winter here in Virginia. 20 degrees and the wind is howling! I think I may just keep your photos up and just stare at them! Your garden looks great! I will certainly come back to see the progress!
Blessings

I like your photos! I’ll have to take some close ups shots of my garden when the wind dies down.
