I can’t believe it has been 5 weeks already! Well we decided to take the greens out that were looking so bad, and transplanted my Butternut squash I had in the house in their place. We also planted some more garlic and shallots. This is our first time with shallots so I am very excited about them. I haven’t really used shallots before for lots of cooking so it will be fun to experiment with them. I think I might have a lead on the infamous Sauerkraut recipe apparently one of my Dad’s cousin’s makes it and it just might be the recipe from my great grandmother Mo-Mo, how cool would that be! Especially since I am going to make and give a lot of it to my grandfather.

What a beautiful garden! We’re too cold here for gardens, now, but I did have fun during the summer with my very first tomatoes and peppers!

I have a good recipe with shallots, if you want it. And, I wish I had a green thumb. I can only imagine how much better for you “real” veggies would be.
The garden is looking great.
We have one green thumb in our house — would you believe it’s the five year old?
Thanks ladies, I will have to give the green thumb credit all to my lovely husband DT. I just take credit for the cooking.
