The garden is growing so quickly I almost can’t wait to pick something and just eat it right on spot. Ok not really I will wash the dirt off first. But still I am so excited about this garden.

I have come across a couple of new recipes I want to try with the greens and cabbage, but have yet to find a tried true Sauerkraut recipe, anyone?  Please??  I know someone has a grandma that use to make it, please find her recipe!!!!!

We had some lows in the 40’s this past week, so our first real cool front, that has since past, but our garden did magnificently and is growing strong.

It has been exactly 1 month since we planted, this is the comparison pics from week 1 to week 4

What a huge difference in just 1 month!

The Butternut squash still hasn’t been transplanted, but none the less it is doing great on the window sill

The cabbage is doing great and getting bigger, I am so tempted to pull a few leaves and use them tonight for dinner, but I am refraining myself!

  1. Your garden looks great! I wish had found time to to garden. I have hopes that I will with my Mom living closer to me now, but wow, what a great start you’ve got going on there. 🙂

  2. It seems so odd (and refreshing) to see a garden starting when all ours have been put to sleep not so very long ago.

May your garden grow well and I hope you find a saurkraut recipe – I don’t have very fond memories of that particular dish from my childhood, but now that I’m an adult, to be fair, I really should give it another try.

    I enjoyed my visit!
