Yesterday after the boys nap I walk into there room to find this, a wet diaper laying on the ground.
Can I guess who has removed his diaper from his buttoned one piece jumper?
Little W of course
But since they like to wake up and play in the cribs for awhile before I heard them, this is also what I found
and while I was busy taking pictures assessing the situation, Little H found the wet diaper.
and was a great helper by throwing it away for Mommy!
Leaving Little W with me to explain what happened. When I asked him, So what did you do? This is the face he would give me.
How could I possibly be mad at that face?
So in this dilemma I have tried onesie, jumpers, and zip up sleepers seem to be the only thing that will keep a diaper from sneaky little fingers.
Anyone have any other suggestions on how to keep diapers on during nap and bed time?
Those boys look so much like your husband. They are so cute! 🙂 I was looking at your photos with Gracie, and she said, “Who those boys? They are so cute! So precious!”
Grace got out of her diaper a lot when she was between twelve and eighteen months old. She could also get it off when clothed. It didn’t last forever, and she gave up on it after a while. Good luck!
That is so cute! Unfortunately, I don’t have any advice for you. Maybe it is time to potty train?
OMG! He looks just like DT when he makes that face. I’m laughing out loud! Kay use to do this and we would find her naked in her baby bed in the morning. Maybe he is telling you he is ready to get rid of them.
Can I suggest duct tape? LOL
Sorry, no suggestions. Hang in there girl, this to shall pass 🙂
Thanks for hosting!

OMG so cute! My son does that too sometimes sounds like he doesn’t want to be in a wet diaper anymore – smart boy!!
Your son is the Diaper Houdini! Not sure what would keep that thing on. LOL

Maybe a diaper cover? I know they make ones that are rubber (for cloth diapers) that have elastic. He’d have to shimmy out of them and that might be harder.
I’ve also heard of the duct tape method. Seriously.
I’ve dealt with this time and time again. It is what it is -and it is a sign that they will be ready to begin potty training soon. The most frustrating part of this situation for me- is all the laundry it creates- and BOY is it a PAIN IN THE TUSH to have to change crib sheets twice a day! (especially when you have twins and they’re both doing it!) If it becomes a real issue for you (though with a face as sweet as that- it might not be) then I would suggest tucking down a large beach towel (for naps) instead of going through the ordeal of giving him fresh sheets every time he dirtys them. To him, there are no ramifications- he takes his diaper off, he pees in the sheets, and Mommy cleans it up! How WONDERFUL! LOL Good luck!:-)
Two words.
Duct tape. 🙂
He is beyond cute.
Oh, no! I couldn’t be mad at that face, either!
That totally cracked me up!
That’s hilarious!
My friend used duct tape. It’s about the best solution I know of. Otherwise, diaper covers, or things that are harder to get into. They do grow out of it.
Oh man, total cuties!
I hope you figure something out! The pictures are adorable though! Good Luck, let me know what works in case I need to use it in the future with Aiden!

Awwwww! That face!! Such a CUTIE!
Princess Nagger was a diaper escape artist, too…when I switched her to Pull-Ups for potty training, she seemed to ‘escape’ less. 😉
Happy WW! 🙂
I’ve seen people put the diaper on backwards. Not sure what that does for absorbency factor though.
I’d be a rich woman if I could figure out how to deal with this issue! Many a mom has wondered how to stop this. We are out of diapers now (although still in pull-ups at night), but I am still curious!
Check out my WW!
I love the picture where he looks like he’s giving you the wink. Like “hey, what can i say?” Haha.
Hmmm, have you considered getting some plastic covers (like for potty training) and putting that over the diaper?
Oh man it would be super hard to be mad at a face like that. I have no suggestions other than maybe sleep pants? Would he be able to get out of those really easily?
Great shots! My son hates wearing his pull up during his naps too. Maybe your little guy is ready to start potty training.
Yeah, boys turn on that charm starting at a VERY young age! lol
See, he was mischevious AND peed his bed, and all he had to do to win you over is give you that look.
You are SO in trouble….
lol
I feel your pain! We have been having issues with that as well!!
I’ve got a girl that is doing the same thing! We use the diaper covers that come with the summer dress sets. Maybe you could find a cloth diaper cover that he can’t undo.
I’ve been dealing with this issue for weeks. The only thing that works for us are the long onsies that only button in the front (like long-johns). It’s amazing what they think of!
Oh nice! Isn’t it funny what kids are capable of? I love that onry look in his face! These are such fun years 🙂
I stopped by your blog to verify that you were still hosting your Wed. “theme day”.
In case you aren’t sure why I would do that, please first go here: http://thehousethatlovebuilt.xanga.com/712911712/today–/
and then read this one:

I see that you are, so I shall leave you on the lists 😀
THANKS!!!

DIAPER COVERS. Not only will they make it much harder for him to take off his diaper, but they’ll prevent leaks from excessive pee or diarrhea. My son wore cloth diapers with covers for the entire 2 years 8 months he was in diapers, and he NEVER got out of his diaper or had a “blowout”.
The best brand also is one of the cheapest! Dappi Pants. They’re also great to put over underwear when he’s toilet-training to help contain leaks–they won’t hold in a whole bladderful, but if he pees a little and then notices the wet feeling and runs to the bathroom, your couch/carpet/lap will stay dry!
