I recently heard about a very interesting concept; To go 21 days without complaining, doesn’t seem possible right? But what a great idea from Will Bowen founder of A Complaint Free World.
I do complain, I must admit it, I know your thinking no she’s too perfect, she never complains (ha ha). But seriously It’s a problem I have, but seems like mostly everyone I know complains now and then.
But when you check out this site. It states the average a person complains is 15-30 times a day. Wow! That’s alot. Even for me.
When I get down to the nitty gritty of it, what do I really have to complain about. I live in free country I have, a loving husband, food, shelter, a wonderfully healthy family, support, etc, etc. But yet I complain if there’s traffic or it’s too cold or too hot, etc, etc, etc.
The way it works is to wear this nifty purple bracelet as a reminder to yourself to not complain, and if you catch yourself complaining you switch the bracelet on your wrists. The goal in mind is to go 21 days, because after 21 consecutive days it becomes a habit. And what a great habit to have.
DT doesn’t realize this but I just got us 2 complaint free bracelets. They come in pairs and are free, except for a .75 shipping charge. Donations are welcome of course.
They also have a great workbook for children. I will keep you updating on my complaint free journey and by all means if you hear my complaining call me out on it!
Get a bracelet for JEC. It will probably break from being switched so much. lol
Wow that would be hard! It’s hard to not complain when you’re around people that complain ALL DAY (Is that a complaint there?!) DANGIT! haha
SueSue- Ha! How true.
The bracelets still haven’t come in, I am waiting for them, though I am more aware when I am complaining now.
