The boys will be happy for days, since we got to go ride on the tractors.

Poppy and Pop-po were plowing up their rice fields to prepare for this year’s crop. And of course we took full advantage of the tractor rides.

For some reason I find it funny when farmers (aka my dad and grandpa) always seem to be on their cell phones.

No matter my 70’s photo editing, those stinking phones will kill my retro vibe every time.

So Poppy swooped by to pick up his lunch and two little rascals for a ride, they were quite pleased, as you can tell.

Off they went, now stay off that dang-nabbit phone while your driving my babies.

They should enact a no phones while driving your tractor law.

So while they were riding I was snapping a few pictures for fun.

Focused, out of focus, real deep stuff!

Oh beautiful fluffy clouds, and perfect 70 degree weather.

Then I notice Pop-po driving towards us, with what looks like two little boys in his tractor.

When did they switch, how could we not have seen this?

Finally, a farmer with no cell phone stuck to his ear!

My serious little men.

Uh-oh, I spoke too soon.

Gotta love those farmers!!

*in all seriousness that is how they communicate with each other, and I am just jesting with them.*

  1. Love the 70’s style pics. Takes me back to my own farm days as a kid. Loved reading through a lot of your chicken posts too. I have chickens for the first time since I was a kid. Only 4 right now but you’ve given me wonderful ideas of which ones I’d like to add to the flock. Your eggs are spectacular!

  2. It’s so cute how the boys love to ride on the tractor! Good thing your dad doesn’t have the Angry Birds App on his phone. Tim just downloaded it onto his and I’m constantly catching him playing on it when he’s supposed to be working!!!

I just saw your cauliflower recipe…gonna go read it.
