My little sweet peas are 5 months now. They can seriously stop growing now, in another 5 months they very well may be WALKING!! AND that thought scares me just a little bit. Ok, A LOT!
If they just weren’t so dang squishy and cute I don’t know what I would do. I could kiss those cheeks and chubby little feet all day long, and don’t get me wrong, I do!
This age is so fun. We started food a week or so ago, so far they’ve had avocados, bananas, and pears. Up next will be sweet potatoes, peaches, and whole grain cereal (6 months). When H and W were babies I found this wonderful book Super Baby Food, and we are following that eating plan again. I also love making their food, it’s easy, cheaper, and delicious! I did a tutorial on how I make the baby food when the bigs were little. Though those squeeze packets of food are genius, and I will be doing that when they get a bit bigger.
So G man can now roll over both directions, loves talking really loud, so much so you think he is fussing, but no, just loud talking. He is super smiley and happy baby. He did have his first cold and doctor’s visit, a little fever and stuffy nose, but other than that was feeling ok, and much better in a couple of days. He is grabbing and holding on for dear life at anything he can get his hands on, which is mommy’s hair, daddy’s beard, glasses, earrings (if you dare to wear them around him), and his toys. I had to graduate to a much larger blanket on the floor, but it’s not keeping him. Soon he will be everywhere.
Each morning when I pick him up from his crib, he gives me this cute big gummy grin.
C man my little, gurgle squirt. He keeps the pair going and growing. I swear if he didn’t cry to eat, G never would. C is a very happy baby too, but nothing gets in his way of food time, and he will let you know with a loud high pitched scream. It makes me laugh every time, and that boy knows how to get his Momma running. He also loves his new eating adventures, cooing and smiling at everyone and gnawing chins, or really anything that gets near his mouth. His nickname is Chin Chinning. The big brothers think it’s hilarious and are always sticking their chins in his mouth. Oh lawd.
He is pretty content laying and looking and has not yet rolled from his back to belly, though he goes about half way, it won’t be long. He can also scoot pretty good on his belly.
My sweet boys are such a joy.
Yesterday was an exhausting, trying day for me. Just a busy day, coupled with a possible clogged milk duct, needy, whiny older boys.
But after they were all asleep in their beds and cribs, I looked at them with amazement that they are mine AND that I have twin boys again! YEP, you’d think it would sink in, but sometimes it just strikes me. I even woke DT and said can you believe how lucky we are.
Twins, go get you some!
I love your posts about your sweet boys. You are giving me baby fever. If my first trimesters weren’t so debilitating, I’d go for another one. :-). In the meantime please hug, squeeze, and kiss those chubby cheeks for me.
Cuties! Man, you are a busy momma!
I love your site since…i love everything about babies theyr so cute…
Thank you. 🙂 I am hoping to update more, as those babies just turned 4, eek.
