Today is a bullet point day:
- My newest nightly obsession is a broiled grapefruit. I know it doesn’t sound all that impressive but it’s perfect to satisfy my sweet tooth. To make it I cut a grapefruit in half, drizzle on a little agave nectar or honey on top, then sprinkle with cinnamon, and bake in my toaster over at 450 for about 10 minutes. It’s warm, sweet and juicy. In fact I am eating one right now.
- 5 out of the 6 of our chickens are laying eggs now. It still excites me everyday to go pick the eggs.
- The weather was so rainy and cold today that I stayed in my pajamas all day, it was glorious!
- I made a homemade whole wheat strawberry cake today using agave nectar for sweetener. It was good but not perfect I will post the recipe when I have it perfected.
- How come all my bullet points are about food??? Hmmm never-mind don’t answer that.
- I went to a jewelry party last night where the host Britni made several of Pioneer Women appetizer’s. How cool is that. Holla! Britni. I know who I am going to her next book signing with.
- My sweet bald-ish baby boys are finally getting some hair (I mean they are only 2 and all), take a look at these hawks!
- Little W with a messy face, strawberry mouth and all that hair!
- Little H was not too thrilled with me taking his picture, but this angle really shows how long his hair is.
- This just in we might get snow again this year. That would go breaking all kinds of south Texas weather records! I guess we shall see tomorrow morning.
- Last year I posted a Valentines Roundup that includes everything from gift ideas, crafts to romantic meals.

I love broiled grapefruit too!!!
Oh my goodness, their hair is coming in so cute!
I have never heard of broiled grapefruit, but it sounds awesome!! YUM!! And I love days where I stay in my pajamas. Heavenly!
Sounds like a great week! I am going to try the grapefruit like that, sounds wonderful. Your boy is adorable…even with a messy face. ~
You have some beautiful randomness going on today:-)
I’ve never heard of broiled grapefruit before…sounds yummy. It’s so hard for us to get good ruby red here (unlike in Texas).
My daughter didn’t have hair until 2, either. In fact, she still hasn’t had a haircut. And, #1 is 16 months and pretty much bald!
I LOVE the idea of broiled grapefruit!
I envy you your chickens and fresh eggs…
Your little guys are so cute!
I have a sudden craving for broiled grapefruit..
oh broiled grapefruit sounds yummmy!!
There’ s nothing like staying in pj’s all day. I just love it!!
And, I will have to try your boiled grapefruit. Sounds devine.
I’ve never had broiled grapefruit but me and my daughter love grapefruit so I’m going to try this. Be sure to let us know about the agave nectar. We recently purchased some at a whole food marketplace. It was really yummy! Your little boys are adorable!
I’ve never broiled grapefruit, but I do love it, so I bet that’s delicious. I have to quit coming to your site or your going to make me fat, LOL 🙂 Almost every time you post a recipe to Facebook, I click over. I have a bit of a recipe addiction.
@Krystyn, Our little baldies, it was like they turned 2 and suddenly it started to grow. I keep telling everyone I am not going to cut it till I can pull in back into a pony tail, ha ha.
@bj, I know BJ, those pj days make my world go round, ha.
@Candi, Candi, if she likes it fresh I think she will love it, it’s sweeter and so yummy. Just drizzle on top some of that agave nectar and spread it around, yum!
@Beth @ In Good Cents, Your too funny, I must admit I am a bit of a recipe addict also. But in my defense, I’ve been trying to cook “healthier” recipes lately!
What the heck is agave nectar? You’ll have to go into that definition when you post that recipe, lol
@sheila, Sheila agave nectar is similar to honey in taste and texture, except it’s slightly sweeter and easy to use in baking. In fact most of my recipes I’ve posted lately I have used agave nectar.
I go pick up this week’s eggs tomorrow. Would love to have chickens, but not right now… not in town… 😉
love that curly baby hair! it took forever for my kids to get hair as well and I left the long curly hair for as long as I could, I just loved it!
