First off Happy New Year!

Secondly as I was inspired by Mindee at Our front door, DT and I are doing our “radical” gluten and sugar free diet yet again.  If you recall we did this last year, I lost about 10lbs, DT lost 25!!

She also does a year in Stats review from her blog, it’s a fun way to see what’s going on behind the bloggy scenes.

I use a really neat blog stats site called Web Analytic and it give me all kind of cool statistics on who’s viewing my website.

For instance I had 101,163 unique visitors to my blog over the past year, I am amazed by that number.  Simply amazed.  I still can’t believe anyone other than my Mom reads this, so thank you readers.

Another cool thing about my readers is they aren’t just from Texas, or the United States, but all over the world, including at least 126 countries, from Azerbaijan, Barbados, and Tanzania.  To name a few.

How do they find my blog you may ask? Google searches is one.

Some of my most popular searches are:

Chicken Corn Chowder

Baked Cabbage

and Homemade Salsa

Some of my most interesting searches include:

“pug cocker spaniel mix” apparently they are lots of people interested in the usually cute pups.

why little boys play with sticks” if only I knew why they did half the things they do, ha ha ha.

Gluten free blackberry cobbler“, extremely easy and so good, gluten free or not

Top 5 referrers to Newlyweds Blog are:

Tipnut.com

Orjunkie.com

The Key Girls

Grocery Cart Challenge

Designs by Gollum

A big thanks goes out to you special ladies, you help make my blog all it can be.

And to my readers, thank you for your support, your comments, your friendship.  It means the world to me.  Even those of you that don’t comment but read, drop in and leave me a line, I’d love to hear from you.  Each time someone tell me about a recipe they’ve tried or a story they read about us on the blog, it makes my day.  So thank you!  I love sharing my life, recipes, and children with you.

As my readership grows, I like to remind you that you can subscribe for free in a reader or sign up to receive an email every time I post.

  1. I’m not sure why I’ve either not seen, or never made that cabbage recipe, but this one will be on my shopping list this week. Just printed it. Thank you. Cabbage and me are tight, lol. I just love cabbage!

  2. I found your blog looking for cold-weather recipes and stayed for the cute chicken posts and other great posts. 😀
