3 years of silly faces and sweet kisses

Happy 3rd Birthday Boys!

So much has been packed into your three years of life.  Much more than I will ever remember, therefore I blog.

My memory of your first 6 months are a bit foggy, what a change we had been through, going from just us (DT and I) to twin boys in less than 2 years of marriage.

We both had a lot of growing up to do ourselves, but there we were the parents of the most precious, perfect little boys I had ever laid my eyes on. (spoken like a true mother, huh?)

One of my most precious memories of that time, was sitting in my big blue recliner, football hold nursing both of you, just looking down at the pure amazement that you were all mine, and that me, little me was all it took to nourish and take care of your every need.  I treasure those sweet memories.

Now that you are busy 3 year olds you keep me on my toes and laughing almost all day long.  From your silly faces, to your sweet kisses.  To your fun yet sometimes destructive games you play.

One of my favorite things to do is listen to you play with each other (when you think I’m not), how you banter back and forth and even tend to share and use manners, it’s so sweet.

A letter to you Little H,

You’re my sensitive guy, you get your feeling hurt and you bury your face in my chest, until it passes.  You love to draw, Daddy, specifically.  You get your face really close to your paper and pencil and concentrate so hard.  In fact you take everything you do very, very seriously.  And if I ask you always say you’re working.

A letter to You Little W,

To Mommy’s Cuddle bug,  you love to read and share.  Your easy going when bubby can get a bit bossy. You’re always  willing to give up your toy (to Little H) and move on to another one.  You’re so funny too (Monster face picture), you love to sing and are very inquisitive, you love to ask the name of everything.

I am truly blessed.

Today we also celebrate the 60th wedding Anniversary of my grandparents.

You are both an inspiration and wonderful example of a happy marriage full of love.

We are blessed to have you.  Love you both!
