2 whole years I’ve been writing on this little blog. I love looking back at my old posts, and seeing how little the boys were or exactly what I was doing on a particular day, or heck even what I was buying. For this alone I encourage everyone to blog, a written article of your life and family, little memories that I’ve forgotten about but am so very glad I took the time to write about them. I also can’t mention blogging with out mentioning all the wonderful friends I’ve met through blogging. Such wonderful ladies that I’ve never met in person but seem to know so very well through our daily interactions on our blogs.
Blogging has become such an special part of my life and I want to thank each of you who take time out of your day to read about mine, it means so very much to me. Even if you’ve never comment. But really your should, stop by and say hi, I’d love to hear from you!
My biggest question I constantly get asked is where do you find the time to blog? And I have no great answer, because it’s not like I have a set time that I blog, but it usually occurs when my boys are napping or in the evenings when I am enjoying my daily muse (a glass of wine). But I am always thinking of new recipes and taking random pictures, that when I look at almost always inspire a blog post.
Last year on my 1 year blogiversary I shared some little blogging tidbits and I think I will do the same again, because my 2nd year is much different than my 1st.
- I’ve written 303 blog posts this year as apposed to my 510 last year, yikes!
- My most popular blog posts are: Homemade Salsa, Jalapeno Margarita, and Sticky Chicken. All food posts, no surprise to me.
- My top referrers are: Tipnut, I’m an Organizing Junkie, and Pioneer Woman.
- My most popular search engine searches on my blog are: Baked Cabbage, Baptism cakes for boys, and gluten free blackberry cobbler
- My readership has grown exponentially since I changed from wordpress.com to .org. and had a major blog makeover.
- In fact now I have 300 feed readers, 195 facebook followers and over 600 views per day.
- Last year I did lots of couponing and bargain shopping posts, this year none. I’ve changed my focus, and have such a huge stockpile, I didn’t need to anymore. In fact I haven’t bought, bath items, toothpaste, makeup, etc in over a year, and I still have plenty.
Now a quick year in review in pictures. Just click on the pictures if you want to go to the original posts.
